These visualizations show the change in interest over time of ten different processor manufacturers based on search volume data from Google Trends. They use the pytrends library to pull the interest data from Google Trends. Note that the interests are graphed relative to each other, with the maximum interest being 100 and the rest of the data points scaled accordingly. Additionally, only a sample of all Google searches are included in the Google Trends data and searches may be filtered out.

The first graph displays all-time data (which dates back to 2004) with monthly data points, while the second graph shows the relative search interests from the past five years of the processor manufacturers with weekly data points.

After looking at both graphs, we can see that HP has the highest search interest out of all of the manufacturers listed. The high search volume for HP is likely caused by HP's expansive and ongoing role in the PC market. For DEC, the line seems to peak at regular intervals. This is likely due to error with DEC having different meanings. Looking at the first graph with monthly data points, the DEC line consistently spikes during the month of December, and "DEC" can be the abbreviation for "December", in addition to "Digital Equipment Corporation."
